Engine Assurance Program (EAP) hires Lane Clapsaddle as director of aircraft broker and dealer services

Dallas, Texas / January 31, 2024 – Lane Clapsaddle has joined the EAP team as director of aircraft broker and dealer services. His extensive experience in prepurchase evaluations plus aircraft and engine maintenance will help him support EAP’s relationships with aircraft sales organizations.

EAP has added Lane Clapsaddle to its award-winning customer service team. Clapsaddle, a 36-year industry veteran, is an expert in the pre-owned aircraft market and will use that knowledge to help brokers and dealers understand the importance and value of hourly engine maintenance programs.

“Many clients choose to add engine coverage when they are acquiring their aircraft,” says Sean Lynch, EAP managing director. “That transition point from one operator to the next provides a great opportunity for EAP to engage with and educate the prospective owner about how maintaining the engines maintains the value of the aircraft. But we can’t have that conversation without brokers and dealers understanding it first and bringing us to the table. That’s where Lane’s expertise with aircraft brokers and dealers is going to add value for EAP, the brokers and our mutual customers.”

Clapsaddle is also tasked with making brokers and dealers aware of EAP’s other benefits, which include amassing a large pool of rental engines, maintaining a multi-million-dollar inventory of spare parts, and assembling a highly-skilled technical team including AOG support.

“With hundreds of operators currently grounded because of the lack of rental engines, selecting an engine program that includes rentals has never been more important. Because of a parts glut, engine turn times are taking four to eight months longer than normal, too. EAP has worked hard to eliminate these problems for our customers,” adds Lynch. “Lane has lots of good news to share with the brokers and dealers.”

Prior to joining EAP, Clapsaddle was sales director at Jet East with a primary focus on pre-purchase evaluations and the pre-owned aircraft market. He had a long tenure with StandardAero (Garrett) and also has worked for Constant Aviation and Nextant. He is a licensed A&P technician and holds a degree in industrial technology. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force as a C-141 aircraft technician, and he has worked as an aircraft maintenance technician, customer support manager and sales manager.
